This is the single best thing I've purchased as someone who wears collared shirts all the time for work and after hours. Take my advice and buy both a black and white one for different colored shirts. Buy the exact size of your shirt. Not bigger or smaller. It takes about a week to figure out how to use it properly but make sure you bend and mold it without a shirt first to get the right contour. As long as it is bent in enough at the front it won't move within the shirt. The rim should tuck tight into the fold of the shirt all the way around and then you can adjust the stands to be supported by your trapezious muscle. Buy it, makes every shirt you own look as it was intended. You also need to buy metal collar stays, the plastic ones get bent and flex too much

I have had this stay for a week now and I love it. There are a couple of polo shits that do not have enough collar material to use this, but I imagine if I got a smaller one, it might work. I would recommend going a size smaller than your actual collar size. The reason for this is because it is more likely to be hidden and you can reshape it enough to fit your needs. I ordered mine a size small and still had to reshape it a little. The bendable metal coated in soft felt like material is easy to shape, but I imagine if you adjusted it too much that it would eventually break. If mine ever does break, I'll buy another one.

It does what it's supposed to do. In the past, I have gone as far as reinforcing the underside of collars on favorite shirts with heavy canvas using no-sew hem tape. That's definitely effective and permanent without having to cut into the collars and insert anything, but also too labor intensive for me to do for every shirt.
I was very aware that I had this on the first couple times I wore it. My collars looked great, but I was overly concerned that it would be visible, either due to shifting or maybe the shape showing through the collar. When I realized neither of those things were happening, I got pretty comfortable with it and don't even notice it any more except when I look in the mirror and see how awesome my collar looks!
It works for most of my shirts. Ideally, your collar needs to have at least a little structure of it's own for this to support it properly. It worked on all of my button down shirts, some polo-style shirts, but not on a couple softer collared polo style shirts. I probably just need to get rid of those shirts, anyway...
I got this a couple sizes smaller than my actual collar measurement to make sure the ends wouldn't show. The ends sit about an inch in from the front edge of the collar on either side. They don't show no matter how I move, and it still holds my collars perfectly fine.

I don't usually write reviews, but this is a truly practical and transformative product for me. I would never think of looking for something like this, but I've long suffered from the falling collar (especially when wearing suit jackets with no tie) so when I stumbled upon the Collar Shaper I knew I had to try it. It seemed a little pricey, but after using it for three weeks with all my shirts, there is no question that its functionality justifies the cost. It works like you hope it would.
I have old shirts that I'd begun to avoid wearing, except in certain circumstances, because the collars would fall down or spread open after only a few hours. I have button-downs that would "fold over" by the end of the day. Over time I'd begun to reserve these shirts for only when I would be wearing a tie, or attending a short event. But now all my collared shirts look good left open! All day! Whether its a button-down or not. Whether it has collar stays or not.
This makes picking out new shirts easier also. I just pick a shirt, make sure it fits well, and I know the collar is going to look good. I've even used the Collar Shaper on some of my polo shirts to good effect (which is not even what I purchased it for).
I will say that perhaps I bought a bit too large a size, because the tips poke out from underneath the collar on some of my more casual button-ups with smaller collars. But then again most of my shirts work great with the size I bought. Just the nature of the beast I guess. Different shirts have different size collars after all. I will be buying a slightly smaller size though, for those shirts. It's not worth NOT buying. I'm not sure if I'll have to use both, or if the smaller one will work with larger collars. I'll just have to experiment with it and see.
I'm recommending these to all of my friends and if I ever lose mine, I'm immediately buying another.

This has renewed the look of my old polos! I had a lot of dry fit polos and after several washes the collar was limp. Now it's popped up like new. My only advice to anyone seeking this product is to buy about an inch larger then your neck size. I'm a 16.5 neck and the ends of the product fall short of the polo collar by about 1 inch on both sides. Love this item. I know it's expensive for what it it but it's worth it when your polos and button ups have a nice collar that last all day.

The quality of the item is pretty nice - it is quite durable and I don't see it snapping off anytime soon. It's also covered in a velvety material to avoid it slipping during wear.
The only downside is the length of it. It mentions here that you should pick your collar size (mine is 15), but I think you should drop it down to a 14-14.5 to be safe. At a size 15, it slightly juts out on some shirts.

I was skeptical when I saw this on Amazon, skeptical when I bought it, and skeptical when I opened the box. But not only does it work, it works great. It does exactly what it says it will do - it keeps your collar standing up and looking like you just put on a freshly pressed shirt. I ordered the same size as the button down dress shirts I typically order from Lands End, and it fits perfectly. Before receiving this I would sometimes go back and forth between buttoning my shirt a little higher than is comfortable, so as to keep the collar up, and then unbuttoning it one extra button to be comfortable, only to have the collar fall over. With this collar stay, I can unbutton the top two buttons and it keeps my collar straight and together. The legs take a little adjusting, but just a little, and once adjusted seem to fit the same style/size of shirt quite easily. It works as advertised, but only for deeper collars. You have to flatten the legs out quite a bit for shallow collars like a polo shirt, and I would be concerned about moving the metal "legs" up and down too frequently, in case they suffered from metal fatigue. I ordered my exact collar size, and that leaves maybe a 1/4" of shirt beyond the end of the stay on each side. I would suggest ordering a 1/2" smaller than your collar size, to hide it better. Definitely prevents saggy collars, and works particularly well with a sports jacket, as the "legs" cannot peek out from under the collar.
